DID YOU KNOW?
The collections and displays at the Geffrye offer a glimpse to the ways the British have drunk tea over the past 4 centuries.
When tea arrived in English homes in the late 1600s, it was hugely expensive. Over time, tea became cheaper to buy and soon it was within the reach of the middling classes. Objects that can be seen here include a variety of teapots, tea-sets and other cutlery and accessories.
